Our Mission​
The mission of the Nevada Goat Producers Association (NGPA) is to promote, support, and strengthen all segments of Nevada’s goat industry. We serve producers of every scale - commercial operations, small farms, hobbyists, youth exhibitors, and pet owners - by advancing education, responsible production, marketing opportunities, and sound public policy.
NGPA is committed to uniting goat producers across Nevada to build a strong, informed, and visible industry that supports meat, dairy, fiber, pack, show, weed control, and companion goats. Through collaboration, outreach, and advocacy, we work to ensure a sustainable and prosperous future for goats and goat producers throughout the state.
Our Goals​
1. Education & Producer Support
• Provide accessible education on proper goat care, health, nutrition, breeding, and management.
• Share best practices and research to improve animal welfare, productivity, and sustainability.
• Serve as a central hub for accurate, practical goat-related information in Nevada.
2. Industry Growth & Promotion
• Promote all uses of goats, including meat, dairy, fiber, pack, show, weed control, commercial, hobby, and companion animals.
• Increase public awareness of the economic, envi-ronmental, and personal benefits of goats.
• Support marketing opportunities that connect pro-ducers with consumers and businesses.
3. Youth Development & Future Producers
• Encourage and support youth involvement through all available youth programs available in Nevada.
• Advocate for more youth show opportunities and events throughout Nevada.
• Foster leadership, responsibility, and livestock skills in the next generation of goat producers.
4. Advocacy & Public Policy
• Promote sound public policy that supports goat producers, animal welfare, and agricultural sustainability.
• Represent the interests of Nevada goat producers at local, state, and regional levels.
• Work collaboratively with agricultural organizations, agencies and stakeholders.
5. Community & Membership Engagement
• Build a strong, connected community of goat producers across Nevada.
• Provide members the opportunity to promote their businesses, herds, and products on the NGPA website.
• Encourage participation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among members of all experience levels.
